Do Knicks Have Enough Center Depth?

    By Jonah Morgan,

The New York Knicks lost Isaiah Hartenstein in free agency, and that has led some to question whether or not the team has enough depth at the big man positions.

In a recent article by Bleacher Report's Grant Hughes , he lists one question that faces each NBA team ahead of the start of the season. For the Knicks, he talks about their center position, and whether or not the team has enough insurance down low.

"If Robinson can hold up for a larger chunk of the season than he has lately, maybe this won't be a problem," Hughes writes. "But if recent trends hold, New York will either have to sign someone else or spend a significant portion of the year as a small-ball outfit."

While there may be some questions about Mitchell Robinson's health going forward, he could be just what the team needs if he is able to stay on the court.

He is one of the best offensive rebounders in the NBA when he is healthy, and his athleticism at his size makes him a solid defensive presence. While the team did lose Hartenstein, they re-signed Precious Achiuwa, who was solid when he came in the game as part of the Knicks' second unit.

If Robinson can stay on the court, and Achiuwa keeps up what he did last season, then the Knicks should have nothing to worry about when it comes to depth at their center position
