    Gore Jr. 'Gave Us Juice!'

The Buffalo Bills completed their preseason against the Carolina Panthers with a 31-26 loss, with rookie running back Frank Gore Jr. putting an exclamation mark on his first NFL offseason.

After being so-so through the first two preseason games that saw Gore Jr. total just 21 rushing yards and then 41 yards, Gore Jr. hit the accelerator against the Panthers to the tune of a 101-yard, one-touchdown game from 18 rushing attempts.

With roster cuts looming, talk about perfect timing to put forth a performance like that.

"I thought he did some good things as well," McDermott said of Gore Jr. "Ran hard, and gave us some juice in there. Probably just like most rookies, probably more and more comfortable as the training camp wore on, and then preseason one to two, and then two to three as well, and just getting more and more comfortable in our run game and our system."

Thanks to Gore Jr.'s efforts, the Bills coaching staff now has a difficult decision to make regarding the running back room. With James Cook and Ray Davis seen as RB1 and RB2, after that, it's up for grabs.

While Gore Jr. stated, "I'll be fine no matter what," when asked about the looming roster cuts post-game, in an ideal world, he would stick around in Buffalo and look to build his NFL career.

Right now, he could be seen as third on the depth chart, and it remains to be seen how many backs the Bills will keep on their roster, but it's clear that Gore Jr. has claims to make it onto the final 53.

Whether he does or not is unknown, but the rookie has put some good things on film, and he now awaits to see if it is enough for his NFL career to continue in Buffalo.
