Anthony Edwards has caused quite a storm with his recent statements, with many deeming them disrespectful. Basketball royalty Isiah Thomas and Magic Johnson refused to fuel the matter further, responding in the most dignified way possible.

This isn't the first instance of Edwards being frivolous at twenty-three years of age. However, this time around, the Wolves guard might still need to get the 'being childish' discount. Echoing a similar chorus to Magic and Zeke, Jamal Crawford voiced his displeasure over Ant-Man's ill-informed comments.

The former Clippers player believed the current narratives were swaying Edwards played out in the media. When discussing different eras of the NBA, some lines cannot be crossed.

Given the hot topic it has become, Crawford was asked about his views on Edwards' recent remarks, to which the three-time 6th MOY had the following to say :

"I got love for Ant. I love everything about him. But there were way more skilled players besides Jordan, lol. On another note, a bigger conversation should be about how media and social media have driven such a 'this or that' culture. Now, at this time, people are questioning the game's legends and pioneers. It's one of the wackest things out right now…"

Crawford's take on the subject calls for serious introspection among all the so-called NBA analysts and debate shows. Comparisons always make for an interesting conversation, but that doesn't mean we don't do our homework.

Jamal Crawford - A witness to several eras

Drafted into the NBA in 2000, J-Crossover has witnessed the following chapters: Michael Jordan playing in a Wizards uniform, Shaq-Kobe's 3-peat, and LeBron James's evolution of the Warriors dynasty. Hence, the 44-year-old knows what he's saying.

Crawford was regarded as one of the most skilled players, courtesy of his ball-handling and shooting. Playing most of his prime with the Clippers and part of the Lob City era, the 6-foot-5 guard gave the bench players a new introduction.
