LeBron James Receives Four-Word Advice From Four-Time NBA Champion

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James continues to defy the odds as he enters his 22nd season, showcasing an extraordinary level of performance for his age.

At 39 years old, his longevity is a rare phenomenon in professional sports, particularly in a league as physically taxing as the NBA.

The upcoming campaign will be extra special for the Lakers forward as his son, Bronny James Jr., will play alongside him. It's a dream come true for LeBron, who admitted in the past that he wanted to extend his career so he and his sons could be in the NBA together.

Many, however, believe that Bronny will be glued to the Lakers bench due to the flaws in his game. But for four-time NBA champion John Salley, that's not the point.

"Even if he doesn't pan out, he would have the experience of playing with his dad," Salley said in an interview with TMZ Sports . "It doesn't make a difference if he plays (or not). He's on the team."

With Bronny now in the NBA, LeBron hopes that his younger son, Bryce James, will likewise make it to the league. Bryce, who plays for Sienna Canyon, will be draft-eligible in 2026. By that time, LeBron will be 41 years old.

Given this, Salley had a straightforward advice for the four-time MVP.

"Listen to me, Bron. Don't ever quit, bro," said Salley, who had a 12-year NBA career.

LeBron's ability to adjust his playing style as he ages has been a key factor in his sustained success. His commitment to physical fitness is also widely known, spending over a million dollars annually on his body.

There is no indication that LeBron intends to slow down. With each passing season, he further cements his legacy as not just one of the greatest players ever, but also one of the most enduring.
