The Michigan Wolverines' 2025 recruiting class is off to a strong start, with several commits making headlines in the opening week of high school football across the country.

Among the standout performances was four-star quarterback Brady Hart from Cocoa, Florida. Hart, who led his team to a state championship last season, had an impressive outing, completing 15 of 18 passes for 270 yards and three touchdowns in a 42-10 victory over Titusville.

He also shined in a preseason game, throwing for 240 yards and five touchdowns before leaving in the second quarter.

Carter Smith, another four-star quarterback committed to Michigan, bounced back from a tough exhibition game against St. Thomas Aquinas.

In his regular-season debut, he completed 12 of 18 passes for 144 yards and two touchdowns, along with rushing for 33 yards and two more scores in a 48-34 win over Tampa Jesuit.

On the tight end front, Eli Owens from Alcoa, Tennessee, showcased his skills on both offense and defense, racking up over 100 receiving yards and making a notable one-handed catch in a 27-17 loss to Brentwood Ravenwood.

Meanwhile, Andrew Olesh from Center Valley, Pennsylvania, caught a 51-yard touchdown pass and had a 77-yard reception to help his team secure a 31-13 victory over Quakertown.

In the defensive lineup, four-star cornerback Brody Jennings from Jacksonville, Florida, made an impact with a fumble recovery in a 57-13 win against St. Johns Creekside.

Julius Holly, a four-star edge rusher from Alpharetta, Georgia, recorded three tackles in a challenging 57-0 loss to Marietta Kell.

As the season progresses, all eyes will be on these recruits as they continue to develop and contribute to their teams.
