For the first time in nearly 20 years, Nick Saban will not be on the sidelines for the Alabam Crimson Tide.

Instead, Alabama's Week 1 game on Saturday, August 31, against Western Kentucky will mark the start of a new era. Kalen DeBoer will be the head coach, pacing the sidelines and calling the shots for the first time as in Tuscaloosa.

He looks to bring the winning pedigree that has followed him seemingly every stop of his career, and begin his tenure in the win column.

While the Tide are heavy favorites over the Hilltoppers, DeBoer would still love to have all hands on deck. Something that may be a possibility based on an update he provided on Monday.

According to Chris Low of ESPN , DeBoer revealed that he is expecting both offensive lineman Jaeden Roberts and running back Jam Miller to practice before the game. DeBoer is also expecting them to be ready for Saturday's showdown, which is great news considering they had been banged up.

According to ESPN , the Tide are favored by 31.5 points and have a 97.4% chance of starting the DeBoer era off with a win.
