The Philadelphia Phillies (76-54) enter Monday riding high off of a series victory against the up-and-coming Kansas City Royals (72-58) in dominating fashion. Now, heading into a seven-game homestand, the Phillies have made a flurry of roster moves on Monday.

Utility man Weston Wilson was placed on the paternity list on Monday and will miss between one and three games while welcoming in a new member to the family. Wilson has been a revelation for the Phillies this season, batting .353/.370/.647 in 54 plate appearances across 22 games, including hitting for the cycle on August 15th.

Left-handed pitcher Kolby Allard was optioned to Triple-A Lehigh Valley after making a spot start for the Phillies on Sunday. Allard has been the spot starter for the Phillies four times now and has excelled in that role, pitching to a 3.50 ERA across 18 innings. With the rotation back to full strength, Allard's services will no longer be needed barring injury.

Right-handed pitcher Max Lazar was recalled from Triple-A Lehigh Valley. Lazar has pitched in six games out of the bullpen for the Phillies this season after making his Major League debut on August 10th. He has not allowed a run in 5 2/3 innings pitched on two hits and no walks while striking out five. Lazar gives the Phillies another middle-inning option out of the bullpen.

Infielder Buddy Kennedy was recalled to the Majors from the Triple-A Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs. Kennedy, 25, was acquired from the Detroit Tigers (65-66) on June 7th for cash. He has played in 56 games at the Triple-A level for the Phillies since the trade and has batted .313/.415/.543 with 29 extra-base hits and 29 RBI across 253 plate appearances.
