Big news hit on Monday morning from NBC lead college football and basketball insider, Nicole Auerbach , that multiple big name athletes have announced their NIL partnerships with very popular energy drink, Celsius.

Those who announced their deals are: Michigan's Donovan Edwards , Ohio State's Emeka Egbuka , Colorado's Travis Hunter , Florida State's DJ Uiagalelei , and Alabama's Jalen Milroe .

Sidelines-Bama also provided the news on X .

For the current era in college athletics, NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) deals have become a commodity. The NIL rules became effective on July 1st, 2021, and helps brand collegiate athletes by using name, image and likeness, such as the title depicts.

This has become a huge recruiting pitch for high school players, and even those who use the transfer portal to find better opportunities elsewhere.

For Milroe, and Alabama specifically, NIL deals are not uncommon. Former Tide QB Bryce Young tallied $3.5 million in NIL deals with CashApp, Subway, Logan's Roadhouse, and BMW, according to On3 .
