The Los Angeles Chargers wrapped up their preseason with a solid 26-19 victory over the Dallas Cowboys, leaving head coach Jim Harbaugh pleased with his team's performance. He noted that the players seemed to play with a renewed sense of focus and energy.

"It was exciting. I thought our guys did a great job," Harbaugh said via the team's transcript . "Just a lot on people's minds at this time of the year, third preseason game, everybody playing for something individually and for their unit, their team.

"I just wanted to see guys clear their minds, cleanse their souls, just going out, playing free, playing fast, putting their best foot forward," Harbaugh added. "I thought our guys really did that. I thought it was that way both sides of the ball. It was good football."

The Chargers showcased their skills on both sides of the ball, which fans hope will carry over into the regular season. Standout performances came from several players, including Tony Jefferson, Junior Colson, Derius Davis, and Simi Fehoko.

Jefferson had an impressive game, recording 14 tackles, two interceptions, a forced fumble, and a sack. Colson made his preseason debut after recovering from an appendectomy, starting at linebacker and contributing on special teams.

Davis made an immediate impact, scoring a 70-yard touchdown on the first play of the game, setting a positive tone for the Chargers. Last season, he led the league in punt return average, showcasing his explosive speed.

Quarterback Easton Stick connected with Fehoko for a 78-yard touchdown, highlighting Fehoko's potential. After his strong first-half performance, he did not return for the second half.

As the team prepares for roster cuts, these players have made a strong case for their spots on the final roster. Harbaugh's approval of their performances suggests they may have a bright future with the Chargers.
