Former NBA Champion Leaves Fans Confused Over Kyrie Irving-Steph Curry Post

Despite the fast rise of younger floor generals, Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors and Kyrie Irving of the Dallas Mavericks remain two of the most electrifying guards in the NBA.

They arguably have the best handles in the league, they can score from anywhere and they are not afraid to step up in big moments.

Curry and Irving have had some intense battles, most notably in the 2016 NBA Finals. With the new season on the horizon, fans will probably pit the two All-Stars against each other once again.

Well, former NBA champion Nick Young already did it, saying Irving is better than Curry.

"Kyrie is the Kobe to Curry MJ ppl scared to say he’s better," Young wrote on X.

Fans, however, were left baffled by the tweet.

"What does this even mean?" one NBA page asked.

"Idk what’s worse, this grammar or this take," a fan posted.

"Read this five times and it still doesn’t make sense," another one added.

"I tweet more coherently 17 shots deep," one fan said.

Of course, Young's infamous meme was used.

It's worth noting that Young won a championship with Curry and the Warriors in 2018.

One of the more colorful personalities from the NBA in recent memory, "Swaggy P" has made several head-scratching takes in the past. But this one's not entirely invalid.

According to StatMuse , Curry and Irving have faced off 19 times, with the Warriors guard getting the edge by a hairline, 10-9. Their averages in head-to-head matchups are also almost identical, with Curry averaging 23.4 points, 6.6 rebounds and 4.6 assists and Irving putting up 24.1 points, 5.6 rebounds and 4.5 assists.

Curry, however, clearly has more accolades, highlighted by his four NBA titles and two MVP plums. He's also widely credited as a game-changer with his terrific shooting and unlimited range.
