Sherrone Moore was named Michigan football's 21st head coach on January 26, 2024 after helping to lead the Wolverines to the national championship last season as the team's offensive coordinator.

Moore also filled in for then-coach Jim Harbaugh in some of the Wolverines' biggest games including a road game vs. Penn State and a home game vs. Ohio State, both of them wins.

On Monday, Moore was asked how he felt about the Wolverines being ranked between third and fifth in the Big Ten Conference on the heels of three straight Big Ten Conference championships.

"You're replacing a lot of starters, you come back from a national championship, people say Michigan, third, fourth, maybe fifth in the Big Ten," WXYZ-Detroit reporter Brad Galli said in an interview with Moore at the Wolverines' practice facility.

"How do you go into week one trying to handle all the expectations, trying to rebound from a national championship and know that so much is different including the man himself at the top?" Galli asked.

"Yeah I think for us, it's just preparing for the day, we can't worry about what people think about us," Moore said .

"We can't worry about who we're going to play in a week or two weeks, just win today, be better today and it's very cliche but really it's the process of what we've done and how we're going to continue to operate, so we're going to try to be as good as we can today to go execute."

Moore's Wolverines will face Fresno State this Saturday at the Big House in Ann Arbor, Michigan at 7:30 p.m. ET. The Bulldogs finished 4-4 in the Mountain West Conference last season, 9-4 overall.
