Ty Madden made a strong impression in his MLB debut, leading the Detroit Tigers to a 6-3 victory over the Chicago White Sox . Madden held the White Sox to just two runs over five innings.

The Tigers rallied in the seventh inning, with Parker Meadows hitting a game-tying home run, followed by Jace Jung's go-ahead single. Spencer Torkelson capped off the inning with a powerful three-run homer, celebrating his 25th birthday in style. This win marked a significant milestone for the Tigers, bringing their record to .500 for the first time since June 5.

Detroit completed a four-game series sweep against the struggling White Sox, who are on track for a historically poor season with a record of 31-101. The Tigers now look to build on this momentum as they prepare to face the Los Angeles Angels at Comerica Park.

Madden faced some challenges early on, allowing one run in both the first and third innings. However, he managed to limit the damage, finishing with two runs (one earned) on four hits and three walks, striking out two batters.

The Tigers' offense was consistent throughout the series, recording double-digit hits in each game. On Monday, they scored their first run in the fifth inning, setting the stage for the decisive seventh inning. Meadows' home run ignited the Tigers, and Torkelson's long ball sealed the win.

After Madden's solid start, the Tigers turned to their bullpen, which allowed one more run but ultimately secured the victory. The team is now eyeing a winning record as they continue their season.
