One of the highest honors for any NBA player, the Basketball Hall of Fame is the ultimate destination for cementing legacies. To have a seat at the table of some of the most incredible basketball talents requires an accomplished resume.

The event is held annually in Springfield and honors a batch of retired players who have left their mark in hoops and inspired generations. Considering these factors, a recent report made predictions about who among the current active players would make the list.

What caught the attention of many regarding the forecast report was Paul George's higher likelihood than former Clippers teammate Kawhi Leonard of being inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Making the case for Kawhi Leonard

While both former Clippers teammates have an over 90% chance of making the Hall of Fame, PG-13's higher likelihood than The Klaw doesn't sit well with many. George is undoubtedly among the most skilled players to pick up a basketball, but Kawhi's resume speaks for itself.

Kawhi Leonard is a two-time champion and NBA Finals MVP. This six-time All-Star's versatility is evident from his two DPOY awards. On the other hand, George has yet to make a Finals appearance, and his highest recognition is an All-NBA First Team selection.

Addressing the recent report , George is ranked 11th with a 97.86% likelihood to make the Hall of Fame. Meanwhile, Kawhi is ranked 13th with odds of 91.31%. Though championships aren't a prerequisite, the latter has clinched almost every accolade in the book.

Paul George's best shot at the Larry O'Brien trophy

PG-13, who recently signed with the 76ers, finds himself in a Big 3 with Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey. At 34, this is the closest the veteran forward has been to winning a title, the only thing missing from his A+ resume.

Marking his return to the East after a seven-year gap, the nine-time All-Star is under much pressure going into the upcoming season. Indeed, a top contender, the health of Embiid and George will be the deciding factor.
