During his 26 years as a college football coach, Kalen DeBoer has seen unprecedented success. Whether it was winning the NAIA championships at Sioux Falls or winning 21 straight games at Washington, DeBoer has won everywhere with whoever has been on his roster.

Now, at Alabama , DeBoer inherits the No. 1 number roster in the country according to the 247Sports Team Composite Rankings, which means the expectations have never been higher for DeBoer.

Watching DeBoer's Washington last season, many picture DeBeor as an air raid offense that needs a pocket-passing quarterback and a plethora of explosive receivers. However, DeBoer prides himself on adjusting to his personnel, and that's exactly what he's putting into practice in Tuscaloosa.

"I think every year. It isn’t just about one school to another. I think it’s the roster you have each year that gets tweaked a little bit," DeBoer said per On3 . "You might be a running back with a little more depth or tight ends is one of your key areas. I think we’re very balanced across all of the skill positions.

“And then of course you look at your quarterback. You look at what you can do offensive line-wise. It’s never exactly from one year to the next even if there’s a lot of continuity, cause you’re going to lose someone," DeBoer said. "There’s certainly some adjustments that Coach Sheridan and our staff has done in really working with the personnel. That will continue to evolve as the season goes along. You have guys that continue to improve, especially younger guys or guys that are taking those next steps. They’ll make those big steps and you’ll really incorporate them."

One of the most intriguing aspects of year one under DeBoer is and will continue to be how he uses and gets the best out of quarterback Jalen Milroe and his dual-threat ability.

Until this point, DeBoer has shown he can use any quarterback he is given and produce elite offenses that lead to victories. This season and every year he coaches at Alabama should garner the same expectations.
