Week Zero has come and gone, with the first top-10 upset of the season already taking place.

Georgia Tech stunned Florida State on a game-winning field goal to celebrate a 24-21 opening victory.

This win is one of many reasons to remember that preseason rankings can be shredded in just three hours.

Everything that was thought and talked about Florida State leading up to that game Saturday has all but shattered during their three-hour performance on national television.

Yet, analyst around the world will continue to release rankings including ESPN's Power Index, which dropped the Seminoles from No. 11 to No. 16 following their collapse.

The Alabama Crimson Tide , who famously leapfrogged Florida State into the College Football Playoff in 2023, owns the No. 5 spot as week one approaches.

The Power Index provides a good bit of variety compared to the inaugural coaches poll and A.P. that was released earlier this month.

Falling from No. 2 in the A.P. Poll to No. 4 in the Power Index is the Ohio State Buckeyes, who boast one of the most talented and veteran teams in the country.

Tennessee and Oklahoma, who both sit outside the top 10 in the A.P. Poll, are welcomed into the top 10 in the Power Index at No. 8 and No. 9.

Currently, they are slated to face the No. 1, 8, 9, 12, and 19 teams in the Power Index, with the middle three matchups coming on the road.
