David Pollack Makes Opinion on Florida State Football Very Clear

Florida State fans were left frustrated after the team’s 24-21 Week 0 loss to Georgia Tech, and David Pollack, who just launched his own college football show , was a straight shooter when discussing their performance.

Reflecting on the end of last season and the Week 0 loss, Pollack noted, "Now you've created a little bit of anger for yourself... hopefully this team plays a lot better than they did week one... especially to me when you watch the team in the trenches."

Pollack praised Florida State's strong opening possession but emphasized that the run game quickly disappeared, which is puzzling for a team that returned so much experience on the offensive line.

"The offensive line, great first possession... run the football, have success, score... and then the run game disappeared," Pollack said . "And Mike Norvell is an elite play-caller... but like DJU has proven he is not a guy that I can drop back and throw the ball 30, 40 times a game. That's not the recipe for success."

He emphasized Georgia Tech's defensive struggles last year and pointed out that Florida State should have been able to dominate in the trenches.

"Georgia Tech was last in the ACC in defense a year ago, and you couldn't push them around."

Despite the poor start to the season, Pollack found a silver lining for the Seminoles.

"They got BC [Boston College], they got Memphis, they got Cal, they got SMU, so they've got several weeks to get ready for that Clemson game on October 5th... a chance to get back in the national championship picture."

Pollack also called attention to Florida State’s defensive line struggles and the inconsistency of starting quarterback DJ Uiagalelei, who completed 19 of 27 pass attempts for 193 yards and zero touchdowns, while still acknowledging DJU came up big when it mattered.

Ultimately, Pollack believes the talent is there for Florida State football to bounce back. "The pieces, the talent is there... but FSU's got a little stretch here to kind of rebound, and then we're going to see, what's inside that chest... October 5th against Clemson."
