Deion Sanders is no stranger to the spotlight. In fact, he loves it. So, when Paul Finebaum claimed that Colorado was an "irrelevant" program that doesn't matter in college football's bigger picture, he fired back.

"I personally love the guy for what he stands for," Finebaum commented of Sanders a few weeks back.

He even called Shedeur Sanders a "fabulous" quarterback. However, Finebaum just doesn't believe that Colorado, aside from both Sanders', warrants much national consideration.

So, when Sanders sat down with Robert Griffin III and his wife, Grete Griffin, on their podcast, "Outta Pocket," Griffin brought up the Finebaum comments.

"When you, when you hear guys like Paul Finebaum calling your program irrelevant, you know?," she asked.

"But he talking about us," Sanders quipped back. "How can we be irrelevant and you talking about me? Like, every time I turn around, somebody is sending me a quote that you're talking about me."

Sanders may have a point: if Finebaum continues to discuss Colorado, even in spite of their popularity, isn't he admitting their relevance? Griffin had a suggestion.

    "He's a fan?," she joked.

"Well the thing about a fan, you got to understand, a fan only blows when you hot, so we must be hot," Sanders responded.

The fans of attention are blowing full steam on Deion Sanders and the Colorado program. Yes, the Buffs are hot now, but they'll only be as hot as their latest result once the season begins in a critical year two for Sanders.
