Former Star WR at Ohio State Released By Houston Texans

Across the NFL , every single team is cutting ties with players, as Tuesday is the final day to trim your roster down to 53. Which unfortunately means you need to waive, release, or put a player on an alternative list to meet those expectations.

Tuesday afternoon, the Houston Texans made a somewhat surprising move after they released former star receiver from Ohio State , Noah Brown .

Last season, Brown was fairly productive for the Texans. However, with the addition of Stefon Diggs , it pushed Brown back on the depth chart, making him a candidate to move on from.

For Houston, he tallied 33 receptions for 567 yards and two touchdowns last year. The year prior, for the Dallas Cowboys , he also surpassed 500 yards.

There will be interested teams on the market for Brown because he has proven to be an outlet of production at the receiver position when called upon.

Browns career at Ohio State wasn't long, but during his sophomore season, he hauled in seven touchdowns for one of the best programs at producing wideouts in the entire country.

Now, he awaits to be signed from another team across the NFL landscape that is in need of a wide receiver entering the 2024-25 season.

I wish they had kept Brown. I prefer him over Mechie and Sims and also Woods.

He’s a good player. He will find somewhere.
