Bucks Fans Unhappy With Garnett For Picking 76ers Star over Giannis

Both Joel Embiid and Giannis Antetokounmpo are among the best players in the league and former MVPs. Kevin Garnett seems to have a clear preference between the two though.

While speaking on Ticket & The Truth , when Paul Pierce said that he would take Giannis over Embiid, Garnett burst out laughing.

Garnett picked both Jayson Tatum and Embiid ahead of Giannis. The Boston Celtics legend pointed out how the Bucks had been eliminated from the first round of the playoffs in back-to-back seasons.

Unsurprisingly, Bucks fans were not happy with Garnett's take on the matter and let it be known on social media.

Someone pointed out how Garnett had predicted Giannis' former teammate, Thon Maker, to be the league MVP one day. At 27 years of age, he finds himself playing basketball in Lebanon.

One Bucks fan made a bold claim saying that Giannis was already better than Garnett all time.

Of course, one can make cases for and against both Giannis and Embiid in this debate. 76ers and Bucks fans are expected to back their own stars, but there is not a lot of difference between the two.

One thing that Giannis has over Embiid is his Championship ring. He was successful in guiding the Bucks to the title and was immense throughout that playoff run.

The same cannot be said about Embiid. In fact, one of the criticisms that he has faced over the years is that he does not perform at the same level during the playoffs.

Of course, a large part of that is because of Embiid's fitness issues. Rarely have we seen a healthy version of him come playoff time.

Embiid will get a chance to prove the doubters wrong next season as the 76ers have built a roster that should be competing for the Championship moving forward.
