Steele Gets the Nod for Game Two Against Pirates

The Chicago Cubs are coming off a huge win on the road against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Monday they will look to clinch the series a game early on Tuesday and continue their chase for the postseason.

Tuesday, August 27th: Justin Steele vs. Jared Jones

The Cubs will go with Justin Steele (4-5, 3.07 ERA) on Tuesday. He is coming off a win against the Detroit Tigers where he went seven innings of work and only allowed two runs. He struck out ten batters in the outing, his most all season.

The Pirates will go with Jared Jones (5-6, 3.56 ERA) for the second game of the series at PNC Park. The 23 year old will be making his first start since July 3rd on Tuesday as he was activated from the injured list before the game. Jones was out due to a right lat strain. This will be his third start against the Cubs this season. In the last two starts against Chicago, Jones combined for two quality starts and went six innings in each appearance.
