With the Brandon Aiyuk saga at a standstill, the Pittsburgh Steelers are reportedly still on the hunt for receivers. According to Steelers Now, Pittsburgh is interested in multiple receivers that could be on the market.

"The Steelers have been in communication regarding Denver Broncos wide receiver Tim Patrick and Houston Texans wide receiver John Metchie III as the roster cut-down date approaches,” wrote Steelers Now in advance of Tuesday's cutdown day.

Metchie has been a hot name on the trade market for the last few weeks and the Steelers just join a long line of teams that have reached out to Houston about the former Alabama star.

NFL insider Jordan Schultz reported that the Houston Texans have had their phone ringing off the hook about Metchie.

“Multiple teams have reached out to the Texans to see if WR John Metchie III would be available in trade due to the plethora of receivers on their roster,” Schultz posted on his official X account.

“It’s unclear if Houston would move him, but several teams are keeping a close eye. The former 2nd-round pick out of Alabama had 10 catches for 100 yards and a TD in the preseason.”

Metchie missed his entire rookie season recovering and beating Leukemia but is in remission and some believe he is ready to make an impact on the league this year.

Patrick got cut in Denver but is already hooking on with the Lions.
