In the Boston Red Sox's losing streak-breaking win over the Toronto Blue Jays on Tuesday night, star outfielder Jarren Duran entered himself into and created a new historic club.  Duran has become one of MLB's premier position players in 2024 as well as blossoming into one of the few five-tool players in the game.

He sent the second pitch he saw into the left-field seats for a leadoff home run and in doing so eclipsed the 20-HR mark for the first time in his career. With that blast, Duran is now officially the first player in MLB history to reach 10 triples, 20 home runs, 30 stolen bases, and 40 doubles in a single season.

Following Tuesday's win, his totals for each of those stats sit at 13 3Bs, 20 HRs, 32 SBs, and 42 2Bs. Each of those is considerably higher than his previous career highs set in 2022 and 2022 and continues to add to his inspirational journey from fringe MLB player to full-on superstar.

His OPS has climbed all the way up to .882 with a slash line of .294/.354/.528 and is set to finish with an astounding >8 bWAR on the season, placing him third in the entire league behind only American League MVP candidates Aaron Judge and Bobby Witt Jr.

Duran's 2024 success has been one of the main factors to why the Red Sox are still hanging on to Wild Card hopes despite a catastrophic second-half pitching collapse. With just over a month left in the season, he could continue to elevate his game and break even more new ground.
