An all-time icon in the Memphis Grizzlies history books is set to have his legacy further immortalized in the Bluff City’s sports pantheon.

Grizzlies great Zach Randolph headlines the star-studded inductees of the Memphis Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2024. He is joined by the city's fellow basketball legend Andre Turner, late NFL Hall of Famer Reggie White, sports broadcaster Jarvis Greer, and former racquetball superstar Andy Roberts, to name a few.

Details behind Memphis Sports Hall of Fame

The selection was finalized by the 18-member panel of the MSHOF Advisory Committee, composed of sports journalists, professional and amateur sports industry executives, and community leaders who determined the Class of 2024.

The induction ceremony is set for Oct. 16 at the Renasant Convention Center. Fans and people who would like to watch the enshrinement may avail $75 for an individual ticket or reserve a table that costs $750 for 10. All attendees will have access to ceremony seating, food, drinks, and an opportunity to meet the inductees.

“The 2024 class of honorees have served as role models and inspired the Memphis sports community, and their legacies will forever be honored as members of the Memphis Sports Hall of Fame,” Memphis Tourism President & CEO Kevin Kane said.

Officially founded in 2019, the Memphis Sports Hall of Fame honored plenty of Grizzlies royalties since then such as Lionel Hollins (2022) and Hubie Brown (2023).

Revisiting Z-Bo’s illustrious run with the Grizzlies

Randolph, 43, stands as one of the enduring pillars of the Grizzlies franchise.

His arrival in 2009 saw the birth of a new era for Memphis basketball. Alongside Tony Allen, Marc Gasol, and Mike Conley, Randolph personified Memphis’ ‘Grit-’n’-Grind’ mantra that captivated the entire league with their hard-nosed, blue-collar play. Under his leadership, the Grizzlies etched their case amongst the NBA’s powerhouses in the past decade, appearing in the playoffs in seven straight seasons from 2011 to 2017, highlighted by the team's first-ever trip to the Western Conference Finals in 2013.

Z-Bo averaged 16.8 points, 10.2 rebounds, and 2.0 assists across his magical eight-year run as a Grizzly, clinching two All-Star selections and an All-NBA Third Team nod. Memphis retired his No. 50 jersey in 2021, making him the first player in franchise history to obtain the recognition.
