Memphis unveils the date of highly anticipated open practice

The Memphis Grizzlies will approach the forthcoming campaign with chips on their shoulders. Following a turbulent run from last year marred by injuries and struggles, Ja Morant and Co. will desperately draw a statement rally to catapult themselves back amongst the NBA's elite teams.

But before they enter action time in the brand-new basketball season, the Grizzlies will first reconnect with their fans through another fun-filled open practice.

Grizz to warm-up, thrill fans via open practice

On Tuesday, the Grizzlies announced the official schedule of their annual open practice ahead of the 2024-25 season.

Memphis will play as a group on Oct. 6 in the FedEx Forum from 11 AM to 1 PM. Considering the nature of the event, the Grizzlies will perform in front of the fans through scrimmages and team drills.

The entrance will be free of charge, which allows the Memphis fanbase to finally see and interact with their beloved Grizzlies team headlined by Ja Morant, Jaren Jackson Jr., and Desmond Bane. As such, all eyes will also be focused on the team's No. 9 overall pick Zach Edey.

As two of the most highly anticipated Grizzlies heading to the season, Ja and Zach have already teamed up in their recent viral workouts . As such, this year's open practice will provide a much bigger coverage for fans to witness their developing pairing first-hand.

Memphis to show some glimpse of their promise next year

The Grizzlies fans enjoyed the most out of the open practices throughout the past couple of years. And with the team healthy and rejuvenated to compete again, the excitement is certainly overflowing with how they'll initially demonstrate some glimpses of what they can show in the upcoming season.

Before hosting their open practice, the Grizzlies will first report to the training camp from Oct. 1 to 3 at The Ensworth School in Nashville. They'll commence their preseason outing on Oct. 7 by hitting the road to face the Dallas Mavericks.
