Caitlin Clark, Indiana Fever Break WNBA Viewership Record

Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever traveled to Minnesota to take on the Lynx on Aug. 24 in a primetime matchup where the Lynx were retiring the jersey of WNBA legend Maya Moore.

The 90-80 victory for the Lynx was a part of one of the most viewed games of the WNBA season.

Both teams helped break the NBATV record for the most viewed WNBA game on the network. It's the most-watched WNBA game in NBATV history, eclipsing 596k viewers.

While Minnesota sits atop the Western Conference standings and is a team with WNBA finals hope, it's clear that Clark and the Fever being in town was a major reason for the viewership record.

There have been 16 WNBA games that have broken the viewership records of different networks like NBATV, ABC or ESPN this year. Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever have taken part in 14 of those 16 games.

The only game Clark and the Fever weren't a part of was the Lynx versus New York Liberty matchup, that 704k viewers on CBS.

The biggest record broken from any network was the WNBA All-Star game at 3.44 million viewers on ABC, which is a part of the 16-game count, but in terms of a regular season matchup, the Fever are in control.

Indiana welcomed over 2.30 million viewers against the Chicago Sky on June 23. This came just weeks after the Sky and Fever were able to draw 2.25 million viewers on ABC.

There hasn't been a more influential team in the WNBA landscape than the Indiana Fever, and they continue to show that with their viewership records.
