As Patrik Laine prepares to embark on a new chapter with the Montreal Canadiens, his fiancee, Jordan Leigh, has turned to social media to seek advice from the team's fanbase ahead of the couple's move to Montreal.

After Laine's trade from the Columbus Blue Jackets, Leigh took to Instagram to ask her followers what she needed to know before moving to Montreal and how to find a French teacher.

"What do I need to know before moving to Montreal? And also, if anyone knows a French teacher, please send me their contact details," Leigh posted on her account.

Leigh's request quickly garnered a positive response, with fans eager to share their love for Montreal and offer helpful tips. Among the advice, many praised the city's cuisine, especially poutine, which Leigh humorously acknowledged in a follow-up post.

"I don't know what poutine is, but it looks like I'm absolutely about to find out. Thanks for the love, everyone! I'm taking note!," Leigh wrote .

The move to Montreal marks a fresh start for Laine, who has faced challenges with injuries and mental health, including time spent in the NHL/NHLPA Players Assistance Program last season.

Throughout the end of the 2023-24 season, Laine has racked up 204 goals and 388 points in 480 NHL games.

Along with his fiancée, the couple has become advocates for mental health, recently launching an initiative called "From Us To You" to help others facing similar challenges.

Laine and his fiancee introduced their initiative on Instagram on August 12, just days before Laine was traded. "We are so excited to finally be able to share what we have been working on. This project is close to our hearts, and we hope that by creating From Us to You, we can open up a safe space for discussion, support, resources, and growth together."
