In a few days, the LSU Tigers and the USC Trojans will collide in a highly anticipated SEC-Big Ten showdown in a neutral location – at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas this coming Sunday, to be exact.

The bright lights of Sin City can easily blind the players, but LSU left tackle Will Campbell knows better than to lose focus on the main task. It is all business in Las Vegas for the Tigers, as Campbell guaranteed ahead of the USC matchup.

“We know what we’re there for. It’s not to go to Caesars Palace,” Campbell said about his thoughts on the upcoming meeting with the Trojans, per Zack Nagy of Sports Illustrated.

“It’s to be in a fistfight.”

The USC game will be an early tough test for Campbell and the Tigers, and vice versa. The Trojans enter the 2024 college football season ranked No. 23, while the Tigers are higher on the Associated Press Top 25 at No. 13.

Last season, the Tigers failed to make it to the College Football Playoff, as they went just 9-3 overall in the regular season and 6-2 in conference play. However, LSU won its second bowl game in the Brian Kelly era by defeating the Wisconsin Badgers at the ReliaQuest Bowl to conclude the campaign with a 10-3 record.
