The Miami Marlins played Game Two of their four-game road series with the Colorado Rockies on Tuesday night and won 9-8. Miami was trailing 8-4 heading into the ninth inning before they rallied to earn the victory.

It was a high-scoring game with both offenses managing double-digit hit numbers. Miami's offense put up 12 hits. They began scoring in the fourth inning while trailing 6-0 after Jesús Sánchez hit an RBI double, followed by Kyle Stowers' second home run of the season. They would score two more in the sixth, and then the bats came well alive for the rally. Five runs were scored by Miami in the ninth, including Jake Burger's RBI double that plated two, followed by Sánchez's 17th homer of the season that ultimately decided the game.

Colorado starting pitcher Cal Quantrill went five and two-thirds innings on Tuesday night allowing four runs on seven hits and five walks, and he struck out two batters.

Roddery Muñoz pitched for Miami and didn't last long after the Rockies scored six runs off him in the first two innings. Overall, he only went an inning and a third allowing those six runs on seven hits and one walk and no strikeouts. The bullpen, however, pitched well and kept Miami in the game despite allowing two runs and 13 hits for the pitching in its entirety.

Both teams are now 49-84. They will meet again on Wednesday night for Game Three of the series with Max Meyer on the mound for Miami against Colorado starter Kyle Freeland.
