Playing cards can surely get intense at times. Ask JJ Redick, who had an interesting anecdote about his former Clippers teammate Matt Barnes. The two veterans laughed, reminiscing about the incident, which took place miles above ground level.

Barnes termed card games during his Clippers days wild, with Redick reminding him of the punching mid-air episode .

"I remember when you almost depressurized the plane at 35,000 feet," said the new Lakers head coach. Barnes recalled the incident; he still had the scar, courtesy of punching the airplane window in frustration of losing a considerable sum in a card game.

Fortunately, the windows were double-paned, preventing any emergency amid the clouds. Barnes revealed having lost a sizeable amount. With suspicions of having been cheated, the former 6-foot-7 forward let emotions get the better of him.

Probably flying for a road game or returning home, a card game session on the Clippers team jet got out of control, especially for Barnes. Adding fuel to his fury was the notion he had been cheated.

"I lost an unbelievable hand that was worth a lot of money. Maybe $15K or $20K was on the line. I probably got cheated. But as soon as I lost, I was pissed. And I don't even know why I punched the window at 30,000 feet in the air. Luckily, it was two panes of glass, but my hand was bleeding bad," revealed Barnes.

Barnes didn't forget to throw some shots at JJ, who was sitting across the table on the flight, stating the former Duke player may have taken some of the money he lost.
