LeBron James went off in a fiery Instagram rant on Wednesday, calling out ESPN for a recent poll that labeled Josh Allen as the most overrated quarterback.

ESPN released a list based on a survey of 103 anonymous NFL players, asking for their picks in several categories, including the top three current quarterbacks, rookie quarterback most likely to have a successful career, most overrated quarterback, most underrated quarterback, and biggest trash-talking quarterback.

James was not pleased with Allen being named the most overrated.

"I GUARANTEE he's at the top of the scouting report before playing Buffalo offensively!," James commented on Instagram. "So who cares?"

Following Allen on the most overrated list was Jalen Hurts of the Eagles, Tua Tagovailoa of the Dolphins, and Justin Herbert of the Chargers.

In the 2023 NFL season, Josh Allen threw for over 4,300 yards and added over 500 rushing yards, accounting for 44 total touchdowns.

Despite a slow start to the season, where the Buffalo Bills had a 6-6 record, Allen led a strong finish, helping secure the number two seed for the playoffs.

Over his six seasons as Buffalo’s starter, Allen has amassed more than 22,000 passing yards, over 3,600 rushing yards, and 221 total touchdowns.

Despite his impressive stats, Allen's struggles with turnovers and inconsistency in crucial moments may be why some players label him as overrated.

Allen has thrown for 78 interceptions and has fumbled 34 times in his career.

Reaching the Super Bowl also remains a significant challenge for the star quarterback.

When considering the full picture, Allen has often single-handedly kept Buffalo competitive, which may explain why LeBron is defending him. With a chip on his shoulder and now the King's support, Allen might be more motivated than ever to prove his critics wrong.
