Knicks Involved in Blockbuster Trade Idea

The New York Knicks have been one of, if not the most active team so far this offseason, and a trade idea sees them making a blockbuster move before the season starts.

In a recent trade proposal , the Knicks would send Julius Randle and Mitchell Robinson to the Warriors, Golden State sending Stephen Curry to the Lakers, and then LA sending Anthony Davis to New York.

As much as the Knicks would love to have a player as dominant as Davis, a trade of this magnitude with all three teams trading away superstars would most likely never happen. Curry is the Warriors' greatest player ever, Davis is pivotal to the Lakers' success, and the Knicks will most likely give Randle another chance.

The team came into this offseason wanting to improve their roster in order to contend with the likes of the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference, But instead of doing that through a trade for a top player in the NBA, they acquired a player that would fit well into their system.

Mikal Bridges is a great fit for the Knicks and their defensive-minded head coach, and he will slide in very well next to the team's other stars. So as good as Davis is, the team has made the right move to give them the best chance of contending this season.
