NBA Fans Can't Believe Former Laker Joined the Celtics

The Boston Celtics just got deeper. One of their biggest strengths last season was their depth at all the positions. While they had arguably the strongest starting five in the league, their bench could hang with the best and then some.

Now, they're adding another familiar name to that bench. The Celtics are signing former first-round pick Lonnie Walker IV to their roster. A former Los Angeles Lakers standout, too, Walker's 38% shooting from the outside will be valuable for Boston.

Already, some fans are not happy that the Celtics got yet another solid rotation guy.

"It's never been more over man."

Lakers fans are happy for Walker... but are definitely rooting for his success only, not the Celtics.

"Celtics bench just got better this ain’t fair lmao"

Lakers fans are heartbroken over this move.

It's worth noting that Walker's deal is an Exhibit 10 deal. That means that if the Celtics waive Walker before the start of the season, he can get a bonus IF he plays for their G-League team, the Maine Celtics.

Should Walker make the Celtics' final roster, this contract will convert into the standard league minimum.

In any case, Walker should be a solid option for the Celtics. He's unlikely to get a lot of playing time, but he'll be a nice fallback option in case some guards get injured. He averaged nine points on a 38% clip from three last season, with a career three-point percentage of 35.6%.
