Klay Thompson spent his entire 13-year NBA career in California with the Golden State Warriors until he decided to leave this summer and join Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving, and the Dallas Mavericks. After seeing Thompson's recent interaction with a random family at the beach, it's safe to say that he won't have any issues adjusting from California to Texas hospitality.

With a big smile and drink in his hand, Thompson gave off wholesome vibes this week while hanging out with a random family at a beach. Thompson made friendly conversation with the family, took pictures, and even kicked a beach ball around.

The Mavs' overall talent was a big reason for the team making it to the NBA Finals last season, but the good vibes and wholesome energy from players like Doncic, Irving, Dereck Lively II, Daniel Gafford, P.J. Washington Jr., and others played a big part in that success as well.

Given that Thompson has the sixth-most 3-pointers made in NBA history, we already know he figures to be a seamless fit in Dallas' offense alongside Doncic and Irving. Now, we've gotten a glimpse of how he could be an excellent addition to the locker room, too.

Although Thompson initially thought he'd spend his entire career with the Warriors, Golden State's front office made it clear in free agency that a split was imminent. With a change of scenery and rejuvenated energy, Thompson will now look to capture his fifth championship ring in Dallas, surpassing his former teammates, Stephen Curry and Draymond Green.

"Just very little adjustments from getting over the top," Thompson said in his introductory press conference when asked about how the Mavs can get back to the NBA Finals for a second consecutive season and finish the job this time.

"Dirk (Nowitzki) went through (heartbreak) in his first Finals. Luka (Doncic) did, too. We," Thompson said of his Mavs, "are knocking on the door.''
