Paul George, who recently ended his association with the LA Clippers, left quite a void on the roster, which continues to be a concern. The nine-time All-Star joined forces with Joel Embiid in Philly, marking his return to the East after seven years.

While he has yet to officially play against his former team, the Clippers, PG-13 did get a little teaser of the future. The veteran forward engaged in a bit of a pick-up game against the likes of Kevin Porter Jr. and Kobe Brown at the popular Rico Hines Runs.

For those who don’t know, these basketball runs are hosted by Sixers assistant coach DaRico Hines, popularly known as Rico Hines. The camp usually takes place at the training facility of UCLA, attended by All-Stars, rookies, and potential aspirants.

Paul George gets a preview of his matchup against the Clippers

PG-13 leaving the Clippers was nothing short of a disappointment for fans, considering he had promised to bring the franchise its maiden NBA title. Unfortunately, the 34-year-old failed to reach any kind of common ground when negotiating the contract with the front office. Ultimately, signing with the 76ers.

With the regular-season schedule out, the date for George’s return to LA was confirmed. The veteran forward will have his first matchup against the Clippers on November 6. The contest will take place at the newly inaugurated Intuit Dome at Inglewood.

Recently, George got acquainted with the feeling of playing against former team Clips during the drill sessions of Rico Hines. The All-NBA player got some reps against KPJ and Brown, who are part of Coach T-Lue’s crew. Though we don’t know the results of the above event, the early season showdown at the Dome will surely be an exciting watch.

It remains to be seen what kind of welcome George will receive and if he will be honored with a tribute video.
