WNBA legend Sheryl Swoopes worked as a reporter, covering the Chicago Sky's matchup against the Washington Mystics on Wednesday.

Before the game tipped off, Swoopes was asked about her opinion of Angel Reese, and she wasn't shy in giving the rookie immense praise.

Swoopes called Reese a "dog," and mentioned she loves how the first-year star plays hard on both ends of the floor.

She believes Reese's high motor and intensity on the court helps her succeed, not only as an elite rebounder but a qualified scorer as well.

"I’m gonna use her word," Swoopes said. "I want to continue to be a dog, because she is a dog. I love the fact that she’s just her… She plays hard, both ends of the floor. Doesn’t matter what the score is… I just love how she’s coming into this league, she’s embraced the bumps, the bruises, she’s embraced the good with the bad. I just love watching her play because she plays hard the entire game.”

The "dog" Angel Reese has been on an insane tear as of late. She recently had three straight games of 20 or more rebounds, which accounts for a WNBA record, continuing to show that she's the most talented player on the glass in the league.

Reese currently leads the WNBA in average rebounds with 12.9 on the season. She's also been able to show off her offensive skill set, averaging 13.3 points per game.

Swoopes has been quick to credit the rookie for her success all season. She's emphasized multiple times how she loves the way Reese embodies the game and uses the physical side of basketball to give her an edge on the court.

Despite all of this skill that Reese garners, the Chicago Sky are riding a four-game losing streak.

They'll have a chance to bounce back on Friday against Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever at 7:30 p.m. ET.

Chicago currently sits at No. 8 in the WNBA standings with a 11-19 record. They hold a spot in the playoff race, since the top eight teams punch their ticket to the postseason, but they're on the edge of losing that advantage.
