The most intriguing game on the Week 1 slate in college football is the Georgia Bulldogs and Clemson Tigers. Other matchups that could produce exciting games are the Penn State Nittany Lions and West Virginia Mountaineers, Miami Hurricanes and Florida Gators, Notre Dame Fighting Irish versus Texas A&M Aggies, and USC Trojans versus LSU Tigers.

However, Joel Klatt was interested in another game that is taking place in Week 1. It had to do with his alma mater, the Colorado Buffaloes. Colorado faces the North Dakota State Bison. Klatt played quarterback in Boulder from 2002-05.

On a recent episode of " The Joel Klatt Show ," Klatt predicted how the game would go. The Buffaloes come into the game as a nine-and-a-half-point favorite, but Klatt thought that was too close for Colorado. He predicted that Colorado would win 35-28, with North Dakota State covering.

"...Nine-and-a-half-point favorite," Klatt said. "It's too much for Colorado. I believe that they win a close game. Fairly high scoring, at least for Week 1. 35-28 Colorado wins the game. North Dakota State covers."

Quarterback Shedeur Sanders had 510 passing yards and four touchdowns. Running back Dylan Edwards had 135 receiving yards and one touchdown. Colorado kicks off the season against the Bison on Aug. 29. Kickoff is at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN.
