Rasheed Wallace Has Bold Michael Jordan Take

Not only is Michael Jordan one of, if not the greatest player to ever step foot on an NBA court, he is also considered one of the scariest on-ball defenders ever.

But on a recent episode of the Sheed and Tyler show , former New York Knicks forward Rasheed Wallace makes a very bold claim and says that Jordan was not as good of a defender as most people think he was.

"Mike wasn't all that good of a defender," Wallace claimed. "I've seen him get his a** bust... probably against Clyde Drexler... I'm not saying that he didn't play defense, I'm just saying that his defense wasn't as high as most other cats at that time."

Wallace is known for making a lot of bold claims, such as Jordan being scarier on the Washington Wizards than he was on the Chicago Bulls, and this take is right up there with his most absurd.

Jordan was named First Team All-Defense a mind-boggling nine times in his career, six of which were consecutive from the 1987-88 season to the 1992-93 season. On top of that, he also was able to win the Defensive Player of the Year Award in just his fourth year in the league.

While it may be true that players can be more likely to win awards based on popularity at times, it is very hard to argue with Jordan's nine career First Team All-Defense selections.
