Fans Are Saying The Same Thing About Suni Lee's Emotional Throwback Post

Despite being just 21 years of age, U.S. gymnast Suni Lee has been through such a long journey. Right now, she is a six-time Olympic gold medalist (she bagged three in the Paris Games ), which makes her one of the most decorated American gymnasts in the history of the sport.

Lee did not get to where she is right now without adversity, though. Just last year, the former Auburn star saw her career placed in jeopardy after she was diagnosed with a rare kidney disease. As a testament to her strength and fortitude, Lee was back in the gym after just a few months.

On Thursday, Lee shared a throwback post on TikTok that featured a photo of herself at a young age. She was probably six or seven in the photo, wearing a gymnast's leotard.

" 🥹🥹 baby suni," she captioned the clip .

The short video -- complete with a bit of sentimental music -- perfectly transitioned to a photo of Lee on the podium after receiving a bronze medal in the uneven bars final of the Paris Olympics.

Unsurprisingly, the photos struck a chord with the fans, who were all saying the same thing about Lee and her journey.

The bronze medal Lee flexed was just one of the three medals Lee won during the recently concluded Summer Games. She won a gold medal in the team all-around final and another bronze in the individual all-around final.
