North Dakota State is giving the Colorado Buffaloes a serious fight in Boulder tonight.

After leading 20-17 at the half, the Bison defense bent but didn't break when Colorado marched down the field and threatened the end zone.

It was third and goal from the North Dakota State 5-yard line when Colorado's Shedeur Sanders attempted to squeeze in a tight throw to a wide receiver in the end zone. The ball bounced off the leg of a defender that had slipped and wound up in the hands of the Bison for a score-saving interception.

Things haven't exactly when the Buffaloes' way in the season opener thus far.

Colorado is still firing on offense despite the wild turnover. Sanders and company marched right down the field following a North Dakota State 3-and-out and scored thanks to a 13-yard connection from Sanders to Travis Hunter.

Sanders has already racked up 375 yards passing and three touchdowns midway through the third. Hunter has eclipsed the 100-yard receiving mark and has added two scores.
