College football is fully back, which means we will again see plenty of those wonderful and bizarre moments that fill up the bingo card every season. In Thursday's Stephen F. Austin game, we already got something fans will hardly be able to believe.

Stephen F. Austin faced off against NAIA opponent North American University, who they walloped 70 to 0 in the first half. The beating was so bad that the game was reduced to two brief five-minute quarters for the second half.

What? That's right; a college football game featured a mid-game clock change to essentially invoke a mercy ending for North American University.

The rule change seemed to work in terms of slowing the Stephen F. Austin onslaught, as they were unable to find any more points in their mere nine plays in the abbreviated third quarter.

When you have a first-half scoreboard this crooked, and a statistical advantage that large in favor of one side, perhaps it makes sense to go ahead and reduce the second half to 10 minutes.

Folks, that is 565 total yards of offense for SFA vs. just 43 yards for North American. Any math nerds out there? Because you'd know that's 13 yards for SFA for every one from their opponent.

Surely, the SFA coaching staff would have loved those extra 20 minutes of game action, but there's no real competitiveness on that field, just pure and total domination from the side in purple.
