Shedeur Sanders Reaches Major College Football Milestone In Week 1

College football star Shedeur Sanders has now secured 100 passing touchdowns in his career. The Colorado Buffaloes quarterback achieved the feat against the North Dakota State Bison in the second half of the game.

He connected with wide receiver Travis Hunter in the third quarter of the game with just under eight minutes remaining. With the touchdown connection to Hunter, the Buffaloes took a 24-20 lead in the contest.

At that point in the game, Sanders already had three passing touchdowns, and Hunter was putting up video game stats with 116 yards and two touchdowns with nearly two quarters remaining.

Once Sanders achieved the feat, the Buffaloes posted the record on their social media account, with the message "legendary."

Sanders came into the 2024-25 college football season as one of the biggest stars in college football.

He finished the 2023-24 season with 27 touchdowns, 3,230 yards, and a 69.3 completion percentage.

The son of NFL legend Deion Sanders was already considered a star as a freshman in his college career with the Jackson State Tigers.

He spent two seasons with the Tigers, starting his college career and race toward 100 touchdowns at the FCS level. Sanders has never had under 27 touchdowns or under 3,200 yards in a season.

The Buffaloes came into the year with high expectations. They're playing under the second year with Shedeur Sanders, Travis Hunter and Deion Sanders.

Colorado finished the first season in the Sanders era with a 4-8 record. They're now seeking to improve their schedule, and with the maturity of that trio listed, the Buffaloes should have a successful season.
