The LSU Tigers are scheduled to take on newly added Big Ten opponent USC football on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. in Las Vegas.

With Heisman Trophy winner Jayden Daniels, Malik Nabers and Brian Thomas Jr. all in the National Football League, the Tigers must reload in time to take down a high-powered USC attack led by talented quarterback Miller Moss.

Earlier this week, Coach Kelly gave an update on the Tigers' receiving corps situation including the injury status to one of LSU football's top receiving targets for new starting quarterback Garrett Nussmeier.

Kelly said that wide receiver Chris Hilton Jr., who was expected to start alongside Kyren Lacy and CJ Daniels, is questionable for Saturday's game.

"He has a bone bruise, he is working through that process but today he'll be listed in that category," Kelly said.

Hilton Jr. had a career-best 225-yard, two touchdown performance last season in 11 games last year with two starts for Daniels and the rest of the Tigers.

If Hilton Jr. can't play, redshirt freshman Kyle Parker is expected to take his place. Parker played in four games last year as a true freshman but not did not record a catch.

Lacy is the leading returnee among receiving yards from last season's team. He had 30 catches for 558 yards and seven touchdowns, for an average of nearly 19 yards per catch, positioning himself as a name to watch in the SEC and beyond this season.
