Bills Won't 'Close Door' On Potential Reunion With Micah Hyde

Buffalo Bills general manager Brandon Beane knows that the organization has a hole in the safety position. It's why the team signed Lewis Cine Thursday morning.

Cine is a former first-round pick and is still only 24 years old. But even with Cine joining a group consisting of Cole Bishop and Damar Hamlin, the Bills need a veteran presence on their backend.

Could a reunion with former All-Pro safety Micah Hyde be in the works?

According to Beane, it's not completely out of the realm of possibility.

“Nothing recent,” Beane said. “Kind of just seeing where it goes. Love Micah and we have not closed the door on that, and as far as I understand, I don’t think Micah has either. We’ll stay in touch. Love Micah.”

Hyde spent the last seven seasons with the Bills and has grown into a Pro Bowl and second-team All-Pro safety. He has helped transform Buffalo into a perennial playoff team over the years.

A reunion for both sides makes a ton of sense. Regardless of how strong Cine could be as a piece on the defense, leadership is always important for each group.

At 33 years old, Hyde would be exactly what Buffalo is looking for there.
