Steph Curry landed a record-breaking deal from the Golden State Warriors, then got something a little extra -- a new nickname.

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported Thursday that Curry and the Warriors agreed to a one-year, $62.6-million extension that will keep him under contract through the 2026-2027 season. Curry is now guaranteed $178 million over the next three years of his contract, Wojnarowski added, and he is projected to become the league's first player to earn more than $60 million in a single season.

The Warriors took to social media after the news was announced to share some love for Curry and unveil a new nickname.

"Stephen Curry the greatest show in sports," the team wrote in a post on X that showed off some of his highlights.

Curry has led the Warriors to four NBA titles and earned two league MVP awards. He will be 39 by the time the contract expires and has expressed a desire to finish out his career with the team that drafted him out of Davidson in 2009.

"I've always said I want to be a Warrior for life," Curry told Andscape in July. "At this stage in my career, I feel like that's possible."
