Two years does a lot to a person after experiencing a grievance. You can reflect on what's happened or soak in pity. However, in business, it's best to keep moving not to hinder your progress. New York Knicks Jalen Brunson and Dallas Mavericks minority owner Mark Cuban publicly discussed the 2022 NBA free agency. Both sides opened up about their experience during the "negotiation."

Firstly, Brunson and Cuban confirmed they had talked a "couple" times since the summer of 2022. However, the two parties spoke publicly for the first time, dating back to Brunson's time with the Mavericks.

According to Brunson, the point guard allowed his representation to handle the majority of the negotiation. The Knicks All-Star kept using the phrase "From Jalen's point of view" to clarify aspects of the business for which he wasn't complicit.

Cuban claimed Brunson's representation wouldn't reveal any information about what they would discuss when visiting New York for negotiations. "We need to have some reference on what we are going to be talking about if we come to New York. We want to keep him, but we aren't showing up to New York just to be told no," Cuban said .

However, Brunson again cited "from Jalen's point of view" in response to Cuban's claims.

"From Jalen's point of view, once we got the number from the Knicks, I didn't hear anything else from the Mavericks. It wasn't from the Mavericks, it was from my agent," Brunson replied to Cuban's side of the story.

Ultimately, the two sides are on good terms. As they mentioned numerous times during the podcast, it worked out for both sides, with Cuban calling Brunson "the king of New York."
