Five-star WR Jaime Ffrench announces commitment to Texas

Texas landed a massive commitment from one of the top players in the nation on Friday.

Five-star wide receiver Jaime Ffrench announced his commitment to the Longhorns via a live ceremony with 247Sports on Friday morning. Ffrench chose Texas over Tennessee, Miami, and LSU.

According to 247Sports composite, the Mandarin (Jackonville, FL) product is ranked the No. 4 wide receiver in the nation and No. 3 overall prospect in Florida for the 2025 recruiting class.

In 2023, Ffrench hauled in 62 passes for 1,247 yards and 14 touchdowns. The multi-sport athlete was most recently named the 'Alpha Dog' of the National Combine by 247Sports in January.

Ffrench previously committed to Alabama back in July of 2023, but re-opened his recruitment six months later. He chose to take official visits to Tennessee, Miami, LSU and Texas throughout the summer.

He becomes the third five-star commit in Texas' 2025 class, joining safety Jonah Williams and wide receiver Kaliq Lockett. Fourth-year head coach Steve Sarkisian is building what looks to be another top-10 class in the nation for the 2025 cycle.
