Giants Sign Jakob Johnson to Active Roster

Johnson, initially placed on the practice squad after final cutdown day, was promoted following the placement of backup offensive lineman Austin Schlottmann on injured reserve.

Signed by the Giants on August 17, Johnson was brought in to bolster the team's depth at tight end/fullback following the waiver/injury designation of tight end Tyree Jackson. His promotion to the active roster marks a quick turnaround for the veteran player, who has appeared in 67 NFL games with 34 starts over five seasons.
