The good Kansas City Chiefs news regarding "Hollywood'' Brown as delivered by coach Andy Reid? The receiver's rehab progress has been “incredible.”

The bad news, as delivered by Reid? The Brown rehab isn't going well enough to allow him to play in Week 1 against the Ravens.

The Chiefs' offense, which was missing a speed element last season, will eventually get that fully fixed for QB Patrick Mahomes once Brown (shoulder) is back in action.

In the meantime, rookie Xavier Worthy might be the guy asked to use him home-run speed to stretch the field, in Week 1 vs. the Ravens and beyond.

With Kelce and Rashee Rice operating the underneath routes, Worthy and Brown can eventually get those big gains.

“We’re electric,” Rice said . “Just looking forward to putting on a show, ready to go out there and have fun with each other. ... We got football speed, we got real speed, but we all got speed.''

And soon enough? "Hollywood'' Brown will join the rest of the fellas at the track meet.
