This weekend has very large aspirations for Crimson Tide fans, but not only for football.

As the Tide will begin their football season on Saturday, the basketball program is continuing its hustle in its offseason recruiting.

As fans begin to tailgate and become anxious to pile into the legendary Bryant-Denny Stadium, three big-time basketball prospects will be visiting Tuscaloosa according to On3 's Joe Tipton.

Let's take a look at these prospects who will visit the Tide this weekend.

    1. Davion Hannah

Davion Hannah is a 6-foot-5 Combo Guard out of Link Academy, located in Branson, Missouri. Hannah currently sits inside the Top 30 of overall prospects for the 2025 class.

On3's Jamie Shaw , a national recruiting analyst, says this about Hannah in his scouting report.

"The thing with Davion Hannah is his explosive burst. Hannah is at his best when he is able to get downhill toward the basket. He gets above the rim in transition and plays in straight lines. While he is a threat as a pull up shooter, he will need to develop his shooting consistency from range. He is comfortable with the ball in his hands in the half court, but would like to see him clean up his reads. The athleticism leads to intrigue on the defensive end, he is a twitchy athlete and he competes. He has good size and nice length, projectable frame. Would like to see him become a more efficient player, but he has a lot of tools and his competitive nature helps leads to production."

As it stands, Alabama is in a recruiting battle for Hannah with Wisconsin , Cincinnati and Michigan State, but it is still in the race to land this top talent.

    2. Jaden Toombs

Jaden Toombs fits what Alabama desperately needs: a center. This Top 50 overall prospect, who is currently enrolled to Dynamic Prep in Dallas, Texas, is considered as a "true center" by recruiting analysts. His effectiveness playing on the block and the post makes him a feared talent to defend, or even attack.

Toombs has massive size to him, too. He is listed at 6-foot-9 and 245 pounds.

247 Sports recruiting analyst, Brandon Jenkins , spoke of Toombs in his scouting report.

"Toombs is a true center who consistently plays with effort. He is strong and skilled enough to post up with confidence and is effective in playing on the block. All of his production offensively comes as a finisher inside. He has solid hands to catch passes in tight spaces and a nice touch to score off soft hooks in a crowd with reliability. His work ethic towards getting better is displayed through his body. His frame and conditioning have noticeably improved over the years as he has been a steadfast worker in being a big who can get up and down the floor. While he shows skill and plays with a solid motor, Toombs can play above the rim but is not one who affects the game with his ability to get off the floor. However, he is fundamentally sound in his approach to the game. Whether it is setting screens, competing on the glass, running the floor, or creating scoring opportunities on the post with great footwork, Toombs has all the tools to be a valuable piece to the puzzle from the five-man spot."

Alabama is in a recruiting battle with SMU , Miami (FL) , Texas Tech and LSU , but are in a great position to receive a commitment from Toombs.

    3. Amari Allen

Last, but certainly not least, is 6-foot-7 SF Amari Allen, who is enrolled at Ashwaubenon in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Allen has been receiving lots of interest from the Tide over the last few months, and this official visit could help swing the momentum more in their favor.

Allen is currently listed as a Top 100 prospect, and his smooth shooting touch could add better scoring abilities for the Tide offense.

247 Sports wrote this scouting report about Allen.

"Allen is a big wing with a good skill-set and well-rounded floor game. At 6-foot-6, he can dribble, pass, and shoot. He's a solid athlete with some toughness to him, and also has a high IQ and good feel for the game. He's a consistent shooting threat with soft touch when he's in rhythm from behind the three-point line (41% in 3SSB play). He's also a very functional ball-handler within the flow of the offense. He's not necessarily going to blow by his man, but he's good with the ball, and may even be able to be a team's secondary ball-handler when he isn't facing too much ball pressure. Allen is also a heady passer and capable of reading the floor well. Physically he has good size at 6-foot-6 and is a solid athlete in open space, but has relatively short arms (measured 6'7.75 wingspan in July of 2024) and doesn't always explode through contact in the lane of as a finisher. Defensively, he's competitive and smart, but not a super fluid lateral mover, and so he can be foul prone."

Alabama is currently in a recruiting battle for Allen with UCF , Wisconsin, Mississippi State , and Nevada .

Alabama may not land all three of these future impact players, but they are in the run for them. Even one commitment could swing the Tide as a continued force within college basketball.
