It has been an interesting time for the Cincinnati Bengals as of late, but the head coach is thrilled with where things are at.

After an offseason full of contract negotiations , some unfortunate injuries, trade requests, and trying to work a star quarterback back onto the field, it has not been all positive to say the least.

Despite that fact, Zac Taylor says that he feels like the training camp the Bengals have had was unique in a positive way and unlike any other camp during his five years as Cincinnati's head coach.

"This doesn't feel like any other training camp we've ever had," Taylor said . "I feel like all the work that I had hoped to get in, we got in. So I feel really good about where the team is at coming out of training camp with the amount of physicalness we got, the amount of conditioning work we got, the reps we got against other teams where guys feel like 'alright, I'm ready to go play week one now.' I just feel like the balance has been good."

The offseason is officially over with the conclusion of the preseason and the end of training camp, and of course the team still has some very large questions looming.

But it sounds like the head coach is chomping at the bit to get things going and as ready as he has been in a long time. It all starts next Sunday at Paycor when the team will host New England for Week 1.
